Les and Tressa Woodard, Lead Pastor and Worship Pastor
Les and Tressa Woodard have served at Rincon Church of God in a variety of roles for almost 20 years—Youth Pastors, Worship Pastors, Associate, and Lead Pastors. This dynamic duo have a passion to see people experience personal, life-long relationships with Jesus. Through Christ-centered worship and practical, creative, Bible-centric teaching, the Woodards believe they are making an impact right where they need to be. Here, people of all ages can find Jesus, grow in their faith, and reach others with their witness. Additionally, Les leads a men's small group on Wednesday nights, and Tressa heads up our worship ministry and leads a ladies small group. The Woodards have three kids—Trent, Jaden and Brock.
Josh and Beverly Summitt, Kids and Creative Directors
Josh and Beverly have been the Kids Pastors at RCOG since the summer of 2016. As Creative Director at RCOG, Josh is key in giving identity and form to our yearly vision statements. Josh graduated GSU and studied Business and Marketing and minored in Public Relations. He has received his certificate in Worship Fundamentals from Bethel Church in Redding, California. Josh’s wife, Beverly, has her Masters Degree in Curriculum and Assessment from Thomas University. Beverly brings unparalleled skill and knowledge to the KidCity team for the planning and coordinating of everything the kids are learning weekly. Josh and Beverly have a beautiful baby girl, Isla.
Brad and Kelly Thornton, Connections Directors
Brad and Kelly bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our connection ministries here at RCOG. Together they develop, teach, and maintain outlets for people to connect on personal levels within the church through small groups, Growth Track, and guest assimilation. Brad and Kelly also lead a small group, serve on the Church and Pastor's Council, and are key leaders in our worship ministries. Kelly has also served our region as a social worker for almost 20 years, working with abused and neglected children and their caregivers. Brad and Kelly grew up and met at Rincon Church of God, and have one daughter, Marley.
Kristen Creech, Communications Director
Kristen and her family have been attending RCOG for multiple years, and when the Communications Director position became available, she was eager to fill the roll. Kristen handles all outlets of communication throughout the church including scheduling, volunteer assimilation, registration for major events and also handles social media. Kristen and her husband Brandon have three children, Liam, Caroline and Katherine.
Vickie Steele, Seniors Coordinator
Vickie Steele serves as our Seniors Coordinator for our 55+ Fun Group. She and her husband, Dewey, began attending Rincon Church of God in 1987. She and Dewey have served in a variety of ministries throughout the years including Christian Education Director, Choir, Youth Ministry, College and Career, and Women’s ministry.
April McKinnon, Christen Evans, Erica Soto, Tori Purvis, and Dena Turner, Nursery Leads
This team serves on a rotational basis on both Sundays and Wednesdays as Lead over our nursery department. Together, they manage a team of over 25 volunteers.
Kevin and Renee Summitt, Youth Movement Pastors
Kevin and Renee Summitt have served as Youth Pastors at Rincon since October of 2013. The Summitt family began attending the church in the summer of 2007. They bring with them an abundance of ministry experience. Kevin’s ministry experience ranges from becoming an ordained Bishop in the Church of God, substitute teaching, being a deputized Chaplin, and working at youth events for the denomination on a national level. Together, Kevin and Renee make a dynamic team. Kevin and Renee have four boys: Josh, Jordan, Jared and Cody.
Evan Johnson, Campus Operations Assistant
Evan started at RCOG in the summer of 2022 as an intern and was offered a full-time position directly afterwards. As Campus Operations Assistant, Evan primarily serves as secondary lead over our Worship Team, first lead over the YM Worship Team, and serves as the content creator for YM as well. He also is a vital member of the Youth Staff.
Kristy Canas and Kristy Solomon, Preschool Coordinators
“The Kristys,” as we affectionately call them, are the dynamic duo behind our Preschool and Kindergarten department. They serve on a rotational basis week-to-week facilitating all aspects of our Sunday morning experience for our 3 to five year olds.
Chester and Jennifer Koffroth, Leadership Team
Chester and Jennifer Koffroth have been in ministry for over two decades. They are the former College and Career Pastors at RCOG. Chester is a licensed Bishop in the Church of God, and is on the Church and Pastor’s Council. The couple is bi-vocational: Chester, serving as the Quality Control Coordinator for a local flooring company, and Jennifer teaches kindergarten at a local elementary school. The team also serves on the worship team at RCOG. They have one daughter, Brianna.
Brad Johnson, Treasurer, CPA
As a Licensed CPA, Brad Johnson serves as our Treasurer and oversees all aspects of our organizational finances. Brad is also a valuable member of our Church and Pastor’s Council. He and his wife, Kim, have three boys: Ethan, Evan and Eric.
