RCOG Small Group Leader Information 

Purpose of RCOG Small Groups

● Hear His Heart

Discipleship - creating opportunities for people to go deeper in their relationship with God

● Show His Love

Fellowship - creating opportunities for people to build community with others

● See His Kingdom

Ownership - creating opportunities for people to see God at work in their world

Qualifications of a RCOG Small Group Leader

● Have a personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ (for at least two years preferably)

● Recognize the Bible as the authority for your life

● Be a member of the church / Complete Growth Track

● Have the time, emotional capacity, and moral discernment to lead a group

● Be approved by Church Leadership

Expectations of a RCOG Small Group Leader

● Attend and complete Initial Small Group Leader Training

● Commit to attending quarterly Small Group Leader Meetings

● Recognize the influence associated with Small Group leadership

● Commit to protecting the unity of the church

● Commit to submitting to the authority of church leadership

● Commit to engage in leadership development opportunities provided by the church

● Lead the group by facilitating the group meeting, monitoring its health and duration, and promoting participation among group members
